Description of the issue:
I exported Brave bookmarks to Firefox using HTML. The separators which resulted in Firefox’ bookmarks menu were clickable links to “separatethis.com,”
How can this issue be reproduced?
1.Export bookmarks to HTML
2. Import bookmarks file to Firefox
3. Open Firefox Bookmarks menu
Expected result:
I expected a graphical separator. But hovering the cursor over a separator, I realized that’s not what I got. Here is an example: http://separatethis.com/#rlns4Upi38SGXXUjChLvU
Brave Version( check About Brave
):
Version 1.23.71 Chromium: 90.0.4430.72 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
Is this a hack? Is it a link to malware? If you click on the separator, you open “separatethis.com”, ostensibly a domain vendor. Note that in Brave, the bookmark separators are not clickable links. But in the exported HTML file, they are. No need to import these, though; just examine a separator in the exported HTML file.
