I’m reporting two basic folder “manager” functions that did not work/function satisfactorily for me earlier today; one painfully so. They were:
- (somehow?) Perhaps a result of importing them from Chrome, I ended up two Bookmark folders with the same name. The first had numerous sub-folders with numerous bookmarks in it. The other was empty, so I highlighted it, then went to the upper right menu and selected 'Delete", but the silly Bookkmark Manager deleted both folders, AND the dozens of sub-folders and bookmarks I had under it; years were. Geeze! Isn’t this kinda… lame? : (
- Then I tried to move a subfolder UP a level, to a primary folder level (so it would appear at the top of my Brave browser window) …by clicking on and highlighting it, AND dragging it into the “Bookmarks” folder at the top of the visual folder tree; seemingly impossible; no-such option under the top-right menu icon either; so I gave up, yet one would think in a “Bookmark Manager” this would be basic functionality and very easy to accomplish;
no ??
Note: the highlighted folder DID seem to be cursor draggable, but was not actually moveable to /into the target folder.
My Brave browser “is up to date” - v1.67.123 (Jun 25, 2024)
I’m running Windows 10 Home, 22H2
Questions:
Re: #1 above - Did I do anything wrong, or as suspected, the “Manager” did not (delete) ONLY the highlighted folder/object… due to an obvious functional shortcoming?
#2 above - Or, is this basic ‘drag n drop’ functionality there (somewhere) ??
I look forward to your answers and any going-forward and/or (lost) folder recovery help you might be able to offer.
Thank you,
Ken
