Blocking page Gameduell

Description of the issue:
Allover sudden brave seems to completely block the page, a gaming page where I am member since more than 10 years. I am not finding any place in Brave , where i could stop this. Also this is in a way I never saw before.

How can this issue be reproduced?
Try to load

Expected result:
Page loading obviously
Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.44.101 Chromium: 106.0.5249.65 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit)

Additional Information: This started yesterdayyn before then everything was normal. Loading on Firefox is normal too, so it is not the webpage itself causing it.

Hello there @Onart sorry to know that you are unable to load this webpage on Brave.

Can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue? You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration

Also, could you please try opening your main profile in private mode to see if the page load? If it does, try disabling your extensions to see if this is the cause of the issue.

You can open a Guest Window by going to Main menu → Open Guest window:

  1. On your computer, open Brave.
  2. At the top right, click Menu → More tools → Extensions.
  3. On to the extension you want to remove, click Remove.
  4. Confirm by clicking Remove.

Thank you for the response. Hardware Acceleration did not change anything, but Guest Window worked. I then played with various settings and it turns out that the mistake appears, when my password manager (Last Pass) is active. Still I wonder why this happens only on the gameduell site. Loading it with last pass active on firefox is not a problem.

Hi again Thomas, it could be due to a conflict with the extension. On this case I kindly suggest you completely reinstall the extension on Brave to see if this solves the issue.

  1. On your computer, open Brave.
  2. On your extensions toolbar, right-click the extension you would like to remove
  3. Select Remove from Brave... from the context menu
