"Block Distracting Elements" feature not working on Youtube

Youtube now stickies comments under the mobile video player even if you don’t open the comment section, which is annoying to me

I think there was an update on Youtube because now the block Distracting Elements option isn’t working

Also, it would be nice if I could seperately choose to hide the comments and description, since I only want to hide the comments

Brave 1.71.123, Chromium 130.0.6723.116

Uh . . . the only “Distracting Elements” features that I know about, are related to:

  • Chromium extension (possibly at reddit, but I cannot locate it online [blocked access])
  • Some apps listed at MakeUseOf.com website
  • Apple Safari Internet browser Distraction Control

Please edit your Original Post, above, and include your computing device and its Operating System.

And, I am wondering what software you may be using for controling distractions at YouTube . . . I do not (YET) know about any such feature within Brave Browser (except what you might have installed?).

UPDATING

Turns out that there is an application named “Jomo” - for the purpose of making YouTube less distracting - that [app] may be downloaded from Apple’s App Store.

@289wk i thing they are talking about content filtering in Shields settings. For example:

Oh . . . this has turned out to be a day of a lot of discovery (including, something about crash reporting [duh; and thank you]).
