80-90%

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
iOS 18.1, but was also happening on 17.7
Brave: Version 1.70.1 (133)

Additional Information:

I am looking at an iPhone running iOS 17.7.1

Might your issue be, a nuance of Settings > Accessibility > (scroll down to )PHYSICAL AND MOTOR > Touch > Assistive Touch [if Enabled] > Custom Actions

. . . and somehow the screen is reacting to the proximity of your finger tip (not necessary to actually touch the screen in dry climates)?

Thanks for getting back to me. AssistiveTouch is off.

@sawilde does this happen regardless of the website? I want to make sure that you’re not going to any one particular place that you’re seeing this the most.

I have not encountered this problem on my iPhone quite yet. Speaking of, are you on iPad or iPhone? I’m assuming iPhone since you put iOS 18.1 but I want to verify.

@sawilde

Maybe visit: Settings > Accessibility > (scroll down to) PHYSICAL AND MOTOR > Touch > Touch Accomodations

The “Ignore Repeat” switch. Test that, and the other switches re “TAP ASSISTANCE”.

On a Windows OS machine:

“back button will trigger twice”
