This was requested 4 years ago and still nada so I thought maybe a new thread would help.
I’m on an iPad with a keyboard and use ⌘T to start a new tab. I then have to go with the trackpad to click into the URL bar. I often type out a whole address out before realizing I haven’t actually typed anything.
