Is it possible on the Android app to enable autocomplete search in the address bar, while preventing favourites and browsing history from appearing in the toolbar? This is similar to the functionality available on the desktop version, as depicted in the screenshot. Can this be done?
Go to settings, click on Brave shields & privacy, scroll down to the bottom and turnoff ‘Show autocomplete in address bar’ (should be 3rd last option)
Thats the thing. I do not want browsing history or favourites to show in my address bar.
I just want top sites to show up. As you can see from the screenshot on mobile if you turn offsl show autocomplete then the last option i want enabled is disabled entirely.
The last option only works if i turn on show autocomplete history and favourites and you see top sites in the search, along with the history and favourites which i do not want.
Well, then the only option i can think of is to turnon clear data on exit, which will clear your browsing data after each session.
Though not an actual solution but i think that all you can do at the moment.
