App won't launch on Mac

  1. Downloaded the latest version of Brave for Mac.
  2. Opened the .dmg
  3. Dragged it into the Applications Folder
  4. Double Clicked the Brave Application
  5. A thing appeared about Alerts and I opted to receive alerts
  6. I double clicked on the Brave App in the Application Folder
  7. The browser doesn’t come up
  8. When I create a shortcut in the dock and click that, the short cut bops up and down a couple of times but then stops with the browser not coming up.
  9. I rebooted the Mac and tried launching it again but it still didn’t work
  10. I dragged the App to Trash, emptied trash, redownloaded Brave, installed again, and tried launching again but that didn’t help either.
    Expected result:
    The browser should start
