Just upgraded computers and can no longer use previous internet security program. Downloaded Norton only to find out they won’t support Brave. Looked at Bitdefender, but I’m a little uneasy about their company. Is there any antivirus software that is rated well that will work with Brave?
@Groundhog97, why do you say that? If it’s because you don’t see Brave on a list, it’s important to know that anything that supports Chrome will also support Brave.
When websites list “supported browsers,” they usually only mention the ones they’ve specifically tested, like Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox. They don’t have the time to test every browser, so they focus on the most common ones. That’s why you’ll typically see those particular browsers listed.
I say they won’t support Brave because when I was only seeing Microsoft Edge as a choice, I got on a chat with a rep from Norton. He then informed me I could only use Edge, Chrome, or Firefox. To make sure I was understanding correctly, I specifically asked if that meant if I used Brave, I would have no protection and he said yes.
