Antivirus brands compatible with Brave Browser

I note that most of the big brands of antivirus products are not compatible with Brave Browser.
a.) Does this mean that an installed antivirus program simply won’t work if it encounters Brave?
b.) Are there any antivirus brands that are compatible with Brave Browser?
