All bookmark folders and bookmarks disappeared

How do I restore All my imported bookmark folders and bookmarks from when I first started using Brave and all added bookmarks since that have disappeared for some unknown reason? Everything but the bookmarks I dragged to the toolbar are gone.
I don’t know how you can reproduce that problem. I just opened Brave and they were no more.
Expected results would be to get All my bookmarks back.

@Natbott , The BraveSoftware directory that contains many items (files and sub-folders and more files – including your Bookmarks and Bookmarks.bak files, and some Password info) is at %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware aka C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\BraveSoftware If, you have been making backups of that BraveSoftware folder, and placing your backups somewhere NOT within the Brave Browser installation paths – IOW, you maintain backups on, for example, and external drive – …
