Description of the issue:
A new string of ads has started showing up on animepahe.ru and is not being blocked by Brave on my Android device. The ads are hidden and don’t show until I actually play on the video player I am attempting to use, so you won’t see it visibly in the screenshot I’m sending. This makes it challenging to navigate without resetting Brave Shields or refresh constantly.
Exact URL of the website in question: https://animepahe.ru/play/e575d195-a44c-03fd-b8eb-a1c6274cdfcb/389164aab69e17038d6dd754c458039c103cccd624547060ac8df89a4b1a4ea6
@fanboynz issue seems to be intermittent. After getting triggered, it can disappear for a while. Like originally it appeared whenever I touched the screen with MegaF and then also did it with Vidstream. But when I went to record, it didn’t do it. But as you can see, by time I got to Mp4Upload, it popped out ads any time I touched the player.
It seems Mp4upload tends to trigger this invisible overlay that pops open ads when you click on the player more than the others. The second worse is MegaF. Vidstream rarely had it, but would have the ads on occasion.
Testing here was done on iPhone, but should still be similar issue. It seems to kind of happen regardless of which host site you go to, as perhaps tied into the video players more than the site.
In video below, I was going between the different servers/video players. You see the ads occur around 0:35 or so, which I finally switch to Mp4upload. But just want to emphasize that prior to recording, it did also happen on some of the others like MegaF as well. It’s just a roll of the dice on whether it’ll serve an ad or be clear. Not sure how that works.
I guess this issue is appearing in a few anime websites then. I’m having similar problems with aniwave.to and continue to have the problems on animepahe.ru (they made this the domain for Canada for some reason…).
