Was just trying to clear cookies, to get better youtube suggestions and clear out the bad ones. brave browser didnt allow me to see all the cookies and surgically prune them like it used to. accidentally deleted everything including my email passwords!
Any way to get in touch with someone on staff to get that info back? Thanks

also a suggestion, generally sites and programs will have a popup that confirms your choices “are you sure you want to do this?” they ask this for the most minor decisions. brave should have this for deleting passwords seeing as this is a major, lethal decision.

Going to brave://settings/clearBrowserData you see 3 options: Basic, Advanced and On Exit.
In none of them will it be selected by default to delete passwords, autofill form data, shield settings and app data.
When it is necessary to consciously click on the box to choose to delete this data, it is not necessary to have a pop-up to confirm again.
If you dont use a Sync chain, a password manager (like Proton Pass, Bitwarden…) or have backups, you lost this data.

Sync can save your passwords on chain.
How to backup:
