Access Denied, You Don’t Have Permission To Access on This Server

There’s no real drawback necessarily. The difference between the two is that Private:

  1. Opens with no cookies. So you won’t be logged in anywhere or have any cookies from prior sessions

  2. Disables all extensions by default.

  3. Clears cookies when you end the session (exit Brave)

That’s it. Those are the only significant differences. Generally it’s suggested to test in a private window as part of troubleshooting because if it works, we know it’s either bad cookies or an extension being used is creating the conflict.

So if it’s working for you in private, then it means it might be able to be resolved by clearing cookies (either just for the site or all cookies). If that doesn’t do it, then one of your extensions is likely interfering, so you’d have to test by disabling or removing them. If resolves that way, then you’d enable or install one at a time until you find out which extension or combination of extensions is at fault. .
