YouTube PIP mode video blank

When I minimize a YouTube video into Picture-in-Picture (PiP) mode, the video player blacks out completely, leaving only audio playback active. This makes the PiP mode unusable as no visuals are displayed.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Open YouTube on [device or browser name, e.g., Brave browser].
  2. Play any video.
  3. Minimize the video into PiP mode.

Expected result:
The video should play seamlessly in PiP mode with both audio and visuals visible.

Brave Version (check About Brave):
1.73.104

Additional Information:

  • I’ve attached a screenshot for reference.
  • Device: Windows 11 machine
  • I’ve already tried restarting the browser and clearing cache, but the issue remains unresolved.
