Youtube distorted vertical colored lines

Hello, Brave Community!
I have recently bought a new Dell laptop, which so far has been working great.
Brave is my preferred browser, so it was the first thing I installed when I set up my new laptop.

I’m getting this terrible issue with playing videos on Youtube, as well as Netflix.

Things I’ve tried to fix this:

  1. Reinstalled graphics drivers. (Intel Iris Xe Max)
  2. Reinstalled Brave
  3. Turned off shields
  4. Set fingerprint blocking to standard
  5. Disabled Hardware Acceleration*

*Disabling Hardware Acceleration fixes the issue, although it lowers performance of the browser overall. I would rather find another solution that doesn’t involve disabling this.

Here is a screenshot of my shield settings:

Setting the fingerprint blocking to standard or allow all has seemed to work for a lot of people, besides myself.

It works just fine in Chrome.

Brave Version 1.25.68 Chromium: 91.0.4472.77

Thank you for giving your time to read this!

Hey @speaknoevil try disabling Hardware acceleration via brave://settings/system

This works, but it lowers the performance of the browser :frowning:
It’s not a huge difference in performance, but I was hoping to find another solution.
Though I appreciate your help greatly!!

Maybe try using https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/enhanced-h264ify/omkfmpieigblcllmkgbflkikinpkodlk?hl=en

(test with or without hardware accelertation)
