If a malicious program is installed on a device, will it be able to dig out passwords and other auto-fill credentials from the Brave user data folder on a device? I would like to know so I can decide whether to save my passwords with brave or use a third-party password manager. (windows 10)

There is always potential for vulnerability on the internet. Best not to save banking and personal information on browsers. Use verified apps and cryptic password generators.

There is not a single place you can keep your passwords that don’t carry risk. You just have to decide which balance of security and convenience you want.
