Why is the Network tab in Developer Tools EMPTY?

Description of the issue:
In developer tools, the network tab is not showing all the files that are called as part of loading a page.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. Under menu, select developer->developer tools (this opens developer tools).
  2. Select the network tab.
  3. With the network tab selected, refresh the page.

Actual Result:
Should be a listing of web resources loaded for the page.

Expected result:
Should be a list of web resources that were loaded for the page. Here is what the network tab for the same page looks like in a roque browser too fringe for me to remember its name (possibly Serfireeee, not sure of the spelling)

Reproduces how often:
everytime at certain urls.
Problem does not occur on Brave Browser Community page. Occurs on many other pages, included https://route66mc.com

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):

It’s because Brave Shields block some requests.

Disabled Brave Shields

P.S Brave Shields icon is not grayed out for some reason, but I disabled Brave Shields globally via brave://shields when I took the screenshot.

For me, disabling shields had no effect. This sucks.

SOLVED

The clue is the red filter icon( looks like a funnel). Red means there is a value entered into the filter box. To see it, tap on the funnel.
