@MissLady Well, first thing is I was going by your phrasing. So you had mentioned that Brave Ads keep popping up. Brave ads would be the push notifications that occur on your phone or the occasional background images/sponsored image on your New Tab Page. If these are the ads you’re talking about, you can click on the Rewards triangle and turn off Rewards. Then it won’t show notifications anymore. Or you can go to brave://rewards → settings icon → change Notification ad frequency.
When you say that the browser keeps opening websites without you doing it, that wouldn’t be Brave Ads. Can you try to better describe what is happening and when? For example, is your browser opening by itself? Or are you just seeing new tabs/windows open as you’re visiting sites? If it’s the latter, then it just seems to be pop-ups or something, which may be part of the websites you’re visiting.
And yes, what would be helpful to know would be:
What version of Brave are you using?
Which version of Android?
Can you share a screenshot of what you’re seeing?
Does this happen while you’re on any particular website?
Do you have Shields enabled?
What Shields settings are you using? (Settings → Shields)
Do you have any content filters active? (type in brave://adblock and look. If not active, might want to turn on Fanboy Annoyances and uBlock Annoyances)
