Hey Brave, why did you remove your own image search engine and added Google and Bing into it? I do not like trackers in any way, shape and form. Brave is the main reason why I choose this browser is to avoid tracking engines. I’m pretty sure I am not alone.
Seems to be Brave is now pro-tracker instead of what Brave has touted and advertised as “pro-privacy”. So now you have changed your policy?
I want an explanation.

There is an explanation in the drop-down itself:

Clicking that reveals:

It is only temporary, we are not “pro-tracker” and have not changed any policies.
Thank you.

@Housm89,
Not much we can do about this at this time — we do apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s understanding.

Same here, I prefer none of them. Period. No excuse.
@Housm89 and @deafguy nobody is forcing you to use it. Simple thing is Brave Search doesn’t have Image or Video search at this time. It was running using Bing API, but they pulled that. So they just plugged in ability to choose two of the most used searches for people attempting. You can go to StartPage, DuckDuckGo, or any other site you wish if you want to do image/video searches there.
Yes, Brave is working on building things out and having their independent Brave Search with images and videos in the future. How long? No idea because the Search team won’t reply with any information. I’m guessing because they are too busy working on things. So just takes patience.

Thank you Saoiray, I’m grateful they are not forcing us to use either and hope they work on creating a Brave image search. Until then, I’ll try to find one that can provide it all under one umbrella.

My browser still says brave. This may be pertinent to my present situation, not for any other reasons.
