While this happens rarely it is so annoying and frustrating that brave has the need to go and refresh every single tab at a random time, even when I am watching a video. This happens on both Windows and Linux and it is beyond frustrating.

No worries and I have a tower computer and I have 2 operating systems, one is Windows and one is Arch-based linux distro. It happens on both of these operating systems.
Its been happening on previous versions as well as the current (up to date) version.
I just installed Arch-based and the browser is fairly newly installed and this happens so I doubt it has anything to do with cookies but thanks.
Hello again @joe232, by any chance are you using extensions? If so, try removing them or one by one to see which one might be causing this issue.
Also, can you try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue? You’ll find this in Settings --> Additional Settings --> System --> Hardware Acceleration

I can try this but then my browser would run like sh!t then (have tried it in the past).
