Why did my BAT get sent to @BravePublishers?

While checking my Uphold wallet today, I see that some of my BAT rewards were sent to @BravePublisher last month. I have auto contribute set to off and I definitely did not make this transaction. Here is the transaction ID: [6af96dbd-e3fa-4ac4-b7d5-22ab0bba2ac8]

Why did this happen? I definitely did not authorize this transaction. I do not feel comfortable using Uphold if transactions are able to be made without my knowledge or any other action from me. I’ve always been a fan of this project but this seems like a very concerning security issue.

Thanks for reporting. I’d like to ask a few questions to start:

  • Do you have multiple devices linked to your Uphold? If so, how many?
  • Can you share a screenshot of your Contributions and Event Log tabs which can be found here brave://rewards-internals/
