Why brave tied up with a regulated crypto exchange for rewards?

I was excited about using brave, but found zebpay tieup for rewards which can potentially expose our privacy in case anything goes wrong?
Anyone else had this thought? Why can’t brave just accept a wallet address instead of complete third party crypto exchange integration?
