Briefly describe your issue:
Brave Mobile has turned on ad notifications and synched with my wallet, but it does not get any rewards for ads. Shouldn’t the amount of my pending rewards be displayed in the wallet too?
What Operating System and Brave version are you using (Menu → About Brave)?
@ItsSattwikAgain You get paid once per month, with the payouts beginning around the 8th. Once they begin, payouts can take anywhere from between a few days to a few weeks. You can always track the status at Ads Payout Status Update
There is no estimated earnings or anything else. The balance you see is only what you receive after payouts are done. And you only get paid if your Rewards is connected to one of the partners. So either Solana, Uphold, Gemini, ZebPay, or BitFlyer.
So basically all I can do is to wait till I potentially receive the tokens till the next cycle? (I turned on the rewards at January so hopefully I’ll be rewarded by the next cycle). Thanks for the assist though
I had one more query, will I get the payout before the next cycle (it should how it ideally works right?), but in case I don’t get it, what should be my next to-do?
@ItsSattwikAgain assuming you really have linked your Rewards to something like Uphold, Solana, ZebPay, or whatever (you didn’t say what you connected to) then payments should definitely come through in this next cycle.
As to January, it doesn’t matter when you enabled Rewards but is when you connected it since we can’t earn anything before that. If you did this in the first half of January, then you should have received payment here in February. If you linked close to the end of the month, then most likely it just wasn’t enough time and you’ll be getting your first payout here in March.
You earned nothing for those. We only start earning once we link. So until you connected it to ZebPay, you were in a mode of viewing ads just to support Brave and get nothing for yourself.
Once connected to ZebPay, you became qualified to earn and it would track what ads you had seen. It would accumulate and then after the final day of the month, it starts to reconcile everything in Brave’s system. Then it sends out the payments.
For ZebPay, it will pay into a special little area that’s not directly to your account until you choose to Sweep it. If you did not notice, ZebPay has a monthly fee that they will charge if you have any balance and did not do transactions with them. The way to avoid this fee is to not sweep it into ZebPay until you are ready to withdraw it or send it somewhere. If you have any sitting balance at the 1st of the month, they will subtract their fee from you.
And Rewards payments will be small, so much so that anything earned would be taken if you left it sitting in your ZebPay account.
