Videos get weird interference overlay when playing

Description of the issue:
When playing videos, there’s a weird interference overlay pattern. I tried YouTube and Vimeo and it happens on both. It doesn’t happen in Chrome or MS Edge.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Go to https://vimeo.com/414333485
    (or really, any YouTube or Vimeo or Metacafe video. Probably any video) and play the video.
  2. Video may look fine for a few seconds, but then a weird interference pattern overlays the video.

Expected result:
Video plays normally, without interference.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.28.106 Chromium: 92.0.4515.159 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
If I turn off Hardware Acceleration in Brave, the problem is resolved. But what if I want to leave hardware acceleration on?

Hopefully, a screenshot of what I’m seeing is pasted below:

Which GPU do you have? is Hardware acceleration enabled in Chrome/Edge also?

Some low end GPU’s (intergrated GPU’s) may struggle with hardware accelerated tasks

Thanks for your reply.

I have a Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics card. Is that what you’re asking?

I have Hardware Acceleration turned on in Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, and the videos play smoothly in each of them.
