How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Have a video call with multiple people in the browser such as Google Meet, Jitsi or Microsoft Teams
  2. After a random while, mostly between 15 - 45 minutes the video conference still gives audio but the video and browser are freezed.

Expected result:
Non-freezing video conference

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.46.144 Chromium: 108.0.5359.128 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:
When I do the video conferences in another browser such as chromium the issue doesn’t happen.
My OS is Linux Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS
My device is a Framework laptop i7-1280P 64Gb Memory, 1TB - WD_BLACK™ SN850 NVMe™.
When running the browser with a single monitor (laptop screen) and the freeze happen I also can’t control other parts of the operating system such as the task bar. It looks like brave keeps on top of it or so. When I run it with dual monitor and the freeze happen I can control the operating system and other open screens from the other screen.

@jurjendevries Main thing that I thought of when seeing your issue is to suggest attempting to toggle Hardware Acceleration in brave://settings/system but might not actually do anything.

Other things to ask:

  1. Are there any crashes at brave://crashes that correlate with those instances of your device freezing? If so, try to make sure they are reported and share the crash report ID here.

  2. Can you try in a Private Window or in Guest Window to see if anything changes? (Main thing here is wondering if any extensions might be causing issue)

Thank you @Saoiray . I will give it a try and response again when I have the information.
