too much vertical space is unused when it’s not full. (I would suggest bigger icons or even vertical title bar+favicon just like the default.)

the tab bar expansion is jarring and takes up so much horizontal screen space. Hovering over each tab for identification is also a hassle

the current tab is simply indicated by an ‘X’ over the where the favicon should be. It makes it much harder to manage multiple tabs and doesn’t look good either. (I suggest an ‘X’ overlaying the actual icon or add boxes/corners around each icon and make the current one a different color)
