I’m using VM as of my company (Where I work) doesn’t allow us to install any third party software on the main computers so I use VM to run Brave Browser.
I just started using Brave on my VM last month and today I faced an issue where I’m unable to tip my rewards to creators (Twitter page, YouTube channel, Website etc.) anywhere!
Whenever I try to tip nothing happens, it says “Tip Sent Tip Amount: x.xxx BAT” but it doesn’t send any tip!
This is what exactly is happening :-
Things I have or checked :-
- Proper internet connection
- No issues on phone or my personal laptop when tipping to same creators
- Brave Latest Version 1.15.72 Chromium:86.0.4240.75 (Official Build) (64-bit)
- OS :- Windows 7

Please! Can someone give me solution to this!?
@eljuno @Mattches @ShineWhine @justsomeone1 @steeven
Is this happening because I’m using brave browser on Virtual Machine?
Hello @nVikram
never thought that my name would be called beside the brave team loool
i do not think so
just to make sure i got you that you install a vm on the work computer and install brave into that am i right?
are you sure that your company does not block any connection maybe that have firewall or proxy that filter one of your connection
could you disable all extension and clear cache restart both the vm and your device
hope that help and have a nice day

Hey @nVikram,
Usually saving VM state will cause the issue. Close your Browser or profiles if you have then Shut Down the OS and restart it.
Hopefully this will solve your issue.

Thanks @justsomeone1 for your reply,
Yes, I’m running Brave Browser inside VM.
I asked this to my manager and they said Main Staff Row computers do not block any connections and I’m on my Main Staff Row.
They just do not allow us to install any third party softwares (I personally asked and got permission from my boss to install VM as I told them about Brave and they also using Brave on their personal laptop lol) but they didn’t allow me to install Brave on Office Computer!
I do not have any extensions and clearing cache didn’t work!
Oh well! Thanks a lot @ShineWhine, I was saving states and shunting down and restarting VM worked lol!
Thanks again @justsomeone1 and @ShineWhine for your response.
