Unable to "Select Your Country" with Brave Rewards

Description of the issue:
Unable to select my country to continue using brave rewards.

How can this issue be reproduced?
By opening the brave rewards panel and attempting to select my country.

Expected result:
the ability to select the country I’m in.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
v1.46.134

Additional Information:
I’ve already tried these two solutions provided by brave support in someone elses macos thread with the same issue:
" One thing we’d like users who are seeing empty dropdown list for country selection is to go to brave://settings > Page Zoom, and check what their Page Zoom % is. And then try at 100% .
Could you do that and let me know if anything changes?


Another thing, a different User suggested it resolved when they went to brave://flags and enabled the two below:"

Thanks. One of our engineers is asking if:

  1. Can you go into brave://rewards-internals (general info) and copy-paste everything there and send it to me via PM?

  2. Can you go into brave://flags > enable Verbose Rewards logging > restart browser > Then try to declare your geo again? After you click around and it’s the same thing, go into brave://rewards-internals > logs > download full logs, and then can you attach that to me in a PM as well?

Just shot ya a DM with that info! I even uninstalled brave (While keeping user data) and reinstalled it and it seemed to have no effect. I’m thinking this has to do with my brave rewards account being stuck in some logged in but also not logged in limbo.

What’s extremely strange about this issue (not being able to select your geo) is that the list of countries is hardcoded into the browser itself. It shouldn’t have anything to do with anything except basic code.

The list is basically a <select> element, and it’s possible there’s a bug with <select> element in Chromium itself. We see some reports of it… Still trying to investigate, but it’s very puzzling.

Same problem here … even updated to 140 but it isnt working … i have various pc and i found this problem only on this one im using more frequently

maybe my profile isnt loading since its showing no profile in logs?

What I’m using as a temporary solution is the nightly brave build (https://brave.com/download-nightly/) and I synced all my data using the Sync Chain.

I’ve been having the same issue for a while (on desktop), updated to the latest version, still nothing:

I had the suspicion that this is related to me not being verified (for whatever reason), but then verification wouldn’t work because clicking here won’t do anything:

As many people stated in related articles, the Brave rewards program is really not worth the hassle, it’s been breaking / not paying so often that I gave up on it myself to the most extent.

I’ve also been having the same issue for quite some time.

Brave version 1.46.144
Chromium: 108.0.5359.128 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I am also having the exact same issue. Brave shows “unverified” for some reason and I don’t get any country in pull down window. Any fixes yet?

+1 here, same issue. Have been using rewards for over a year but since the last update where you need to select the country no dice.

I’ve been having the exact same issue (no countries listed in the drop-down menu).

I’m running Windows 11 on a Dell laptop. Currently using Version 1.46.144 Chromium: 108.0.5359.128 (Official Build) (64-bit) of the Brave browser.

how long does it take usually before Brave replies?

Anything else we can do to help diagnose? Do you need more logs like described earlier?
