"The Markup" popup search engine - uninstalling

I am very happy using Brave but every time I search for something on Google I get a pop up window offering alternative search results - claiming to be “Simple Search by [The Markup]”. Nowhere can I find The Markup in Settings to switch this popup off.

The Markup website is all about privacy, and that’s great - but I’d like to be able to choose whether to have the popup or not. Seriously, it’s really getting on my nerves.

All help gratefully received.

Found it. It was in Extensions, but it was called Simple Search. I have switched it off.
