Description of the issue:
Hi.
Brave uses way too much memory than it should ever use. I keep getting the out of memory error “Aw, Snap! … error code: Out of Memory” since brave uses upwards of 5 gbs of memory in more extreme cases, and averages at 3 gbs just having my normal workflow of tabs open.
The issue has nothing to do with the extensions, or at least I think so, its just the random tabs deciding to randomly have memory leaks.
This mainly happens with:
- Spotify (just now I was playing a podcast and noticed it was using 4 gbs)
- This playlist loader that I use to load my playlists and shuffle them better than YouTube can: https://playlist-randomizer.com/
- Local pdfs
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Go to any of the sites above
- Load a playlist, play a podcast, load local pfs
- Wait and see
Expected result:
To have at most 2 gbs of memory used by Brave.
