Tabs disappear every time I close and reopen app

This has been driving me insane and I just can’t take it anymore

Description of the issue:
After either long periods of inactivity or closing the app, All tabs are closed. Despite not using private browsing and having the settings set to close tabs manually. Upon reopening app the browser is reset to Private browsing.

How can this issue be reproduced?

1. Open app
2. Open any number of tabs within the standard search engine (not private)
3. Close app
4. Reopen app - all tabs will be gone and app opens in private

Expected result:
Previously opened tabs persist (stay open) and app opens in the standard search

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Version 1.61.1 (24.1.4.20)

Mobile Device details
ipad 6th gen, iOS 17.2

Additional Information:
In previous versions it’s worked this way, I’ve used the app for years. Started becoming an issue within the last few weeks (approx 1.60 ver)
For some reason a couple days ago all my missing tabs came back all at once, maybe because I had never properly closed them manually. But then they disappeared once again today.

This is happening to me as well. Has anyone figured out the bug or a solution?? I’m losing hundreds of tabs.

(Sorry. I didn’t notice the thread is for iOS. My reply is for android. I still leave it here, in case it adds any necessary info.)
Im using brave beta 1.62.146. I do not see this. When I close brave with multiple tabs, it reopens with all the tabs intact. You can try that or check your settings. Especially check these settings…
