Sync code not working V1 to v2

I have my sync code, but it is V1. I recently reset my laptop and went to re-sign in to brave, but it says I need to update the previous device first. I just need to sign in to get my data back. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah, won’t work if you’re going that old of a version of Brave. Only thing you can do really is if you had done a backup of your files before you did a reset of your laptop. But if you have no backups, not much of anything that can be done.
