Stops downloading files while app running in background

When I start downloading videos or files on brave browser, the download works only if iam on brave browser in display

When I press home button without closing brave browser during downloading videos (letting brave browser running in background), the download works only for few minutes and automatically pauses the download, I had to revisit the download page in brave browser to resume the download again

I have tried clearing cache in app info or deleting browsing data in history or clearing privacy report data. But none worked.

Please fix this problem as soon as possible

On my device, if go to os settings → Apps → brave. There is an option to restrict the app operations such as close apps after 10 mins of background activity or so. Could you check if that is the thing stopping your download ?
