I recently switched to Brave from Chrome as I heard it’s more privacy-focused and wanted to try out the BAT system, plus it supports Chrome Extensions, as I use them a lot as a part of my daily life. A main extension I use is the SSH extension, as it allows me to remotely access servers directly in the browser. However, it doesn’t seem to work.
Description of the issue:
The Secure Shell Extension does not work.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):
- Get the Secure Shell Extension
- SSH into any remote server by typing “ssh” into the Omnibox, or by launching the extension from the extension bar.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
Does not connect to remote server. The output is shown:
Welcome to Secure Shell Extension version 0.17.

Expected result:
Connection to the remote server.
Reproduces how often:
Every time I’ve tried it.
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave
page in the main menu):
MacOS Mojave 10.14.4
Version 0.63.48 Chromium: 74.0.3729.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
It seems like the issue is with the NaCl plugin. Is this supported in Brave?
