Just very resent say in the last two weeks Brave is freezing up. Every 20 secs to a minute this occurring. Sometimes twice in a row. Brave has been on this machine for a few years and never seen anything like this.

Cleared, restarted, closed, reopen tabs and reinstalled. You name it I have tried it. Now to the point browser is not worth the time because of delays. Reminds me of a bad streaming service.
Upgraded to latest ver. 136.0.7103.113. but no improvement.
Whats changed?
Please advise.

Curious to know if you have any extensions installed in the browser at this time? If so, does disabling them resolve the issue? Also curious to know if you see the same behavior in a Guest window (launch Brave, go to Menu --> More tools --> Guest profile, then close your original profile window so only the guest window is open)?
So there are no extensions installed.
This is a MAC OS and the “menu” drop down is not an option.
Brave/settings/No more tools/No Guest profile.

So when I go to the guest profile then close all the other windows, all of Brave closes.
Not very familiar with that aspect of the program…
Playing catchup on the profile question. After opening up a quest window (private window) and going to the profiles, ( person 1), I don’t see an option to close that profile. What am I missing?
The Guest window will stay open if you just click the x on the original profile window – don’t right-click and quit the browser from the dock
Assuming I got that right, the guess window did stay open. But difficult to tell if the addressed the original issue…
What we are doing in the Guest window is checking to see if the browser shows the same behavior when you use it. This is useful because if it does not have the same issue as when you’re browsing your normal browsing window/profile, this means that the issue is likely contained within your normal browsing profile itself. If we can confirm that that is the case, we can narrow down further causes from there.
So in the Guest profile window, do you get the same freezing as you do normally?
Unfortunately I am experiencing more and more issues. Now certain apps/sites and not loading correctly.
I would like to get the instructions how to completely remove all files of Brave off the machine.
Saving my bookmarks would be nice.

This is definitely a Brave only issue. Im assuming it a compatibility issue with MAC 15.5 and the latest releases of Brave. Out of my wheel house.
There doesn’t seen to be much interest in the support forum to address it.
I have removed it and moving on…
