Screen Recording permission error (Google Meet screen share)

Description of the issue:

Google Meet throws permission error when attempting to share my screen, despite Brave having “Screen Recording” permissions enabled in System Preferences.

I have restarted Brave several times, as well as rebooted the machine.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Join a Google Meet.
  2. Present screen.
  3. Choose Entire Screen or Window.

Expected result:

Screen should be shared.

Brave Version:

Version 1.0.1 Chromium: 78.0.3904.108 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Did this screen come up for you? At which point did you get the “Can’t share your screen” message?

Hey!

Yep, I’m able to reach that screen. It’s after confirming a window or full screen that I get the error.
