Right-clicking highlighted text removes highlight, right-clicks the page

Sometimes, when I highlight text, and right click it, it instead deselects the text, and behaves as if I had right clicked on the web page, when I highlight text in the same field again and right click on it, it works.
This does seem to depend on the actual element and web page, some examples where I know this happens is comments under instagram posts and descriptions on pinterest images. I’ve had it happen elsewhere too, but those are two recent I know this has happened on.

  1. Go to pinterest.co.uk
  2. Click whatever image on the front page so it opens it up
  3. Highlight some of the small description text
  4. Right-Click

And the highlight gets deselected
