Additional Information:
It should be noted that without opening Brave multiple processes are visible in Windows Task Manager. Trying to kill the process resuts in a new process spawning.

Brave update services are installed but not running

Uninstall issue resolved…

Even when the browser isn’t running Brave runs add-ins. Each add-in is a separate process.

  1. Open Brave and uninstall each add-in
  2. Open the service manager and disable both of the Brave auto update services.
  3. Rerun the uninstall process

The issue of the services failing to uninstall is an issue. That said, disabling the service should be a workaround until service uninstall process can be developed.

@dcashion,
I came here to suggest the very same thing – good sleuthing on your end.
Part of the issue may be the fact that we released an update today and the updater process was likely trying to fetch/download the new release for when Brave is launched.

Generally, uninstall would go through as intended. Hope this helps!
