Region not supported (?)

I have a Gemini exchange page opened in my Brave browser in one of the tabs. Gemini account is in the “supported” country according to the latest announcement.

When I’m trying to connect my rewards to the Gemini exchange, after authentication it says:

Error: region currently not supported

Your Gemini account can’t be connected to your Brave Rewards profile at this time. Your Gemini account is registered in a country that’s not currently supported for connecting to Brave Rewards.

Is this supposed to be funny, like a prank?

Your Gemini account country is determined by the ID documents you used during ID-verification/KYC with Gemini. Did you use a US, Canada, Singapore, or United Kingdom ID document (e.g., passport, driver’s license, etc.)?
