Reading list like in Safari

Title. I use to have multiple tabs open with articles I‘m gonna read. I don‘t want to bookmark them but it would be much better overview-wise if there was a reading list option next to bookmarks.

What I also appreciate with the Reading list is the small thumbnails that make it easier to locate the link I’m looking for. They create a better overview than the bookmark list.

This feature is the reason I still use Safari, would highly appreciate if we could have it for desktop/mobile Brave

I tried to revive my old Instapaper / Pocket / Flipboard account when I switched from Safari to Brave. All of them have their own special properties. But none of them is as simple and practical as the read later feature in Safari.

I don’t know what reading list in safari looks like, but you can try enabling it in brave.
Paste this into your address bar: brave://flags/#read-later
Then turn highlighted flag to enabled.

To add pages to the reading list right-click the tab and select ‘add to reading list’

I’ve enabled this, disabled this, reset the defaults then started again. No matter what I do, I get no reading list. There’s no option when I right-click on a tab, nor does the reading list show up under Appearance. It’s very frustrating. How do I enable a Chrome-like reading list?

Enabling brave://flags/#read-later worked for me in v1.38.80 on macOS.
I didn’t even need to enable brave://flags/#side-panel which I’ve read was needed in the past.
