Do porn sites violate section (k) of the Publisher TOS Prohibited Conduct?
I am mixed feelings on it personally, but not as far as bravedb.com goes. I don’t like the fact that the #1 publisher by Alexa Rank is xHamster “Date and **** girls at xHamster”
I am going to put content filters on my sites because I am building a community to rate Brave content and XXX / 18+ content is just out of the question.
Just curious what the official position is on such sites???
@joshy,
Imo, ideal solution would be to hide data on adult content behind a checkbox or setting of some kind (off by default, on when checked or something to that effect). While porn sites are often a touchy subject, the adult content industry is extremely successful (from a business perspective) and equally as (if not surprising) influential in the Tech/software space.
The fact that the content is…well, “suspect” with respect to what faces the public, from a creators standpoint, it’s actually rather impressive that these very popular, high traffic sites (…thatjustsohappentocontainadultcontent…) are verified with Brave. It helps show that Brave Rewards and BAT aren’t limited to/only to be used by [publisher] entities inside the tech/web/crypto space.
Gotcha I will figure a way. For the ecosystem in general I LOVE the fact that there are no restrictions on non-criminal content.
I think what I will do is have a “safe search” feature as you suggested. It is important to me to provide an environment that is “family friendly” for the community page I am building, and at the same time remain inclusive.
I believe what Brave can be work with different responsibility for adult content, because this sites not respect your privacy data. Your dates are much sensibility and the anonymous navigation not can be resolving the preserve your dates. Don’t navigate on the adult websites and content.
