Problems after setting up VPN or Upgrading Brave

After setting up VPN or after two recent upgrades in Brave, my auto fill for passwords does not work. Also when I save prompted password , it does not save in passwords log.
How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Enter site password
  2. Prompted to save and I click save
  3. Attempt to log in again and no auto-fill is proformed

Expected result: I just want Brave to work smoothly as it did for years.

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Version 1.26.67 Chromium: 91.0.4472.114 (Official Build) (x86_64)

Additional Information: I reinstalled Brave application with no change in issue above. I have lost days of work due to this issue. Help please!
