Potential Security issue with Brave download file handlers

Description of the issue:

When installing KDE next to GNOME on Ubuntu Linux the default file handler for download folders only becomes the KDE Dolphin file manager. There is no visual indication of this or a way to remediate this in the browser or desktop settings.

Noteworthy: when opening Download, then clicking the three dots in the upper right corner and selecting open downloads folder this does open the Nautilus file manager as expected.

On removing dolphin opening a download folder location shows a dialogue stating dolphin could not be found,

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

install KDE standard package and/or dolphin

Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):

After a 10 second pauze, dolphin opens the download folder location

Expected result:

Nautilus opens the download folder location

Reproduces how often:

Every time

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):

Ubuntu Focal
Brave Version 1.30.86 Chromium: 94.0.4606.61 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:

This is considered potential security issue since this implies the file handler can be modified externally and partially.
