Please add "Tab to Search" within websites

I recently switched to Brave for its ad-blocking and privacy feature and I instantly fell in love with the browser, both the desktop and android version.
But there is one feature that I instantly felt was missing in the desktop version, and it was the ability to search within websites directly from the address bar using the “Tab” button. Just type URL, press TAB, and enter and it will load up the website directly with the search results.

  1. This is a really handy feature, and improves the overall experience.
  2. It saves a lot of time.

Brave does support this. However it is turned off by default in the last couple of releases for privacy reasons.

If you want to turn it on you can do that here: brave://settings/?search=index
