Switched to Brave from Opera recently and this is what I miss the most, plus scroll to top by clicking on tab…

fix https://github.com/brave/internal/issues/1337
SplitView observes Fullscre… enController but it's destroyed before than SplitView destruction.
It's lifecycle is changed in upstream(cr139). BrowserWindowFeatures tears down exclusive acceess manager that owns fullscreen controller at the start of BrowserView dtor.
As SplitView is FullscreenControllerObser, it should be cleaned up before fullscreen controller is gone.
As this PR destroys SplitViewBrowserData at the start of BrowserView dtor, added its null check at all places.

### Description
Hello Brave Team.
Many Firefox refugees su… ch as myself are looking for a way to replace Firefox permanently, as [we have lost faith in Mozilla's leadership.](https://x.com/BrendanEich/status/1895231159040385198)
However, Brave still does not present a perfect escape.
There is one feature in particular that I'm searching for: **real Tree Style Tabs**.

[Tree Style Tabs](https://piro.sakura.ne.jp/xul/_treestyletab.html.en) is likely one of the inspirations for the Brave Tree Tabs feature, as it was one of the first implementations of its kind (if not the very first). It was created by the genius known as @piroor.
To this day, this extension has, in my opinion, yet to be beat in terms of its achievements and usefulness.
It is one of the main things holding me back from ditching Firefox completely.
Please consider hiring @piroor. And barring that, please consider incorporating some of his brilliant ideas into your own implementation. 🙏
Notice that unlike Brave Tree Tabs, TST:
- Is hierarchical
- Is incredibly information dense. I have sometimes hundreds or thousands of tabs open.
- Uses totally different styling on different tabs to show tabs that have yet to be visited, or yet to be loaded.
- Is highly customizable
- Can collapse sections of tabs
- Is capable of handling and integrating with container tabs
- Also [works well with other extensions](https://github.com/piroor/treestyletab/wiki/Helper-addons-extending-functionality-of-TST), so that you can really take your tab experience to the next level beyond even TST, and have different groups of TSTs using extensions like [Simple Tab Groups](https://github.com/drive4ik/simple-tab-groups) and act on multiple tabs at once using [Multiple Tab Handler](https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/multiple-tab-handler/)
UPDATE: Brand new picture of it looking exactly like Edge’s! @aguscruiz said ‘It’s pretty standard’. Honestly, not a big deal, as it’s in development and it 100% looks like Edge’s.

To integrate the navigation bar of the settings page into the c… ontent area, I'm suggesting a more subdued color approach like what's attached.

Mini-Update & Appreciation: As I have noticed, look at the image of it two years ago (2023)
Comapred to now, August (In Australia, it’s August 1st now) 2025
You can see they made lots of progress, because in the 2023 image, there was no Brave Shields support, as well as no back and exit buttons as it’s obviously seen.
So yeah, I do not mind an estimate time of arrival (ETA) of the feature, but it’s clearly obvious that it’s development is still underway because they made lots of progress in the past 2 years. Quite impressive! Keep it up, Brave Team!
Regards,
Zeus
– For those wondering:
I apologise if this part wasn’t an update like the thing right above it, it’s just a thing you guys should notice, and go like ‘Wow’ when looking at it. It’s just mindblowing
Simon, did say to me that it has a prerequisite issue and after that he could start it, well guys. You never know: he could refer to "Brave Shield’ support in Sidebar Web panel, which is now accomplished in August 2025
@chrishanelloyd Sorry for the long wait to reply mate, but good news. As seen in this image, Brave Shield support has been added to the Web panel and here is how it’ll look like. They made amazing progress in that short time!
While, I won’t know the ETA myself, it’s nice to see Brave Shield support finally in it
Chris, if you can’t spot the Brave Shield icon in the sidebar panel then it’s right here
