Number of open tabs

Hello,

I am an new user of Brave and I have a difficulty with tabs : Brave allows to open up as many tabs as is possible until reaching the available space until the end of the window, and no new tabs can be opened.

Currently, I have about 60 tabs opened, and any new tab does not open at all.

So how can I increase the number of opened tabs ? In Firefox, I could go to 1000 or 2000.

I just managed to open 197 tabs (then I stopped, I don’t know if there is a limit besides the hardware limit. The only issue I had is that I could not scroll through the UI of the tab bar. So not every tab is displayed. You would have to manually switch from one tab the the other to go through all of them.

I don’t see how it would be practical to have that many tabs open though :smiley:

Do you have the latest version installed? You still won’t see your tabs on the newest version, but they are there and it’s always a good idea to stay up to date.

About the number of tabs in Firefox, just saying for the possibility.

As for Brave, I am uptodate. Still, I am limited to a few dozens tabs, new ones just don’t show up and are not accessible. Either this is configurable (how ?), or this is a serious technical limitation of Brave, which I like besides this issue.

How can this tab issue be resolved ? Can it be resovled ?

holy moly… i am confused … why would Anyone want to open 1000 tabs in browser.

Welcome to community! There is no set max for the amount of tabs that you can have open at a given time. What happens when you click for a new tab with the 60 already open? Would you mind taking a screen shot?

Sometimes I browse a lot in a day and like to keep the tabs open for further reading.

I just opened some tabs as an example : the maximum I could, other than this new ones wouldn’t show up and can’t be accessed.

Any new/info about why Brave doesn’t open more tabs ? If there is no limit to the number of tabs, how come there is one on my side ? Any idea how toresolve the issue ?
