I used to get 20-30 ads every day but now after v1.63.165 no new clickable ads , is there any solution about this?
@arryyyyaan can you describe more of what you mean? All ads by Brave are clickable, though you are only supposed to click them if you are interested in them. Brave never pays you for clicking ads.
In any case, are you talking about the ads that appear in Brave News, New Tab Page (Sponsored Images), or Push Notification type of ads?
Ads fluctuate. Did you take a look at the catalog over at https://sampson.codes/brave/ads/my_region/ to see what ad campaigns are in your area?
Things to note when viewing the catalog:
-
Ad campaigns have view limits. They are Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Total. If you hit the view limit, you won’t be able to see ads from those campaigns anymore.
-
There is a beginning and ending date. If the beginning date is long ago, then it means higher chance of you not being able to see ads from them. Some are only active for days while others can be active for several months. For example, screenshots below are of one that is one day only, another that was a little over a week, then yet another that was active for practically 1 whole year! Date on the left is when it starts, date on the right is when it ends.
- Which OS they target. Not all ad campaigns can show for all OS. The one below is all OS. It’s Android, iOS, Linux, Mac, and Windows. But the one below that is for Windows only. So if you’re using Android, the one showing Windows only wouldn’t be available to you.
- There are three types of ads.
- PN = Push Notification
- SI = Sponsored Images (what we see in our New Tab Page)
- IC = Inline Content (What we can see in Brave News)
So you’ll need to look in the top right of the ads in the ad campaign to see what they are, such as one below is SI.
Final Thoughts
-
It’s important to remember ad sales will vary. The catalog is a good way to track what’s available, but another thing to look at would be https://brave.com/transparency/ If Brave has been selling a lot of ads, then we will see them making some BAT purchases. But if you look, they have not made any purchases since November. It is a sign that ads likely won’t appear as often as we want.

Ad limits are hit frequently. Some might be available for a whole month, that doesn’t mean you’ll see them daily. Like screenshot below shows one campaign that only lets you see their ads a maximum of 2 times per day, for 22 times total. This means in just 11 days you can hit that view limit. But yet the campaign is going for around 31 days.
- We are never guaranteed a minimum amount of ads. There are a lot of variables on when we get to see them. I’m sure you know, but always keep tabs on your device settings. For example, if you set a Focus on your Mac, it will prevent ad notifications. In the same fashion, Brave will typically not send ad notifications if we’re watching movies or playing games, especially if they are in full screen.
