Description of the issue:
When opening the app while connected to Mobile Data there’s a pop up at the top that says “ No internet connection”.
App works like usual but the pop up is permanent unless you switch to Wifi. Then again re-switching to mobile data again shows the pop up. My phone data is very fast with low ping & every other browser doesn’t show it, so it’s not a problem on my part. Tried clear cache, force stop, reinstall, switching connection multiple times. Still no result.
It’s been a problem for 1 year now. Now I’m really annoyed with it:(
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Turn on mobile data
- Open brave on Android
Or,
- Turn on wifi
- One brave on Android
- Switch to mobile data
Expected result:
Top of the bar shows “no internet connection” which should not happen as everything including searching works like normal, it also shows on video-play
I also have video footage but it seems new user can’t attach videos

This problem is not new, it’s been a year since I discovered it. It never went away
