I am also a Mac user (OS Catalina). It seems clear to me that Brave is not designed with Macs in mind. Apple devices are an afterthought. After dealing with numerous glitches for several months, I went back to Safari. It is fast enough, and it is allegedly much better on Big Sur. I will probably upgrade soon.

@aeruss,
A couple things I’d like to suggest:

  1. Can you try opening the macOS Terminal and enter this command: open -a "Brave browser.app" --args --disable-gpu and see if Brave launches this way?
  2. If the above doesn’t work, can you please try downloading and installing the Beta version of the browser and see if you get the same results?

I believe it appears you are running on an Intel Mac from that. Did you happen to install the Universal M1 one? If so, try installing the Intel one! Screen Shot 2021-02-11 at 2.27.58 PM

@TheGreighCanary,
Good catch.
